My favorite song. The love Jesus has for us…His Bride…astounds me. He says RUN to Him, regardless of what we’ve done, HE love us…imperfections and all, we are covered in his blood, His immaculate Bride. This isn’t a love song from just a man to the woman he loves…its a song from JESUS to YOU.
Resurrection Eggs: Teach your kiddos about the REAL meaning of Easter!

Easter or Resurrection Sunday as we call in in our house is such an awesome day! In our home its spent with family, good food and reflecting on the love of Jesus! Every year I try to do some kind of event that replicates the Resurrection story for my kiddos. This year we are going to have a fun hunt for “Resurrection eggs” each filled with a different symbol to help the kiddos remember what the day is actually about. Heres my plan…
- Make and hide the Resurrection eggs for the kiddos (number each one with a sharpie)
- After the kids collect all the eggs put them in order by the numbers
- Take turns opening each egg, reading the scripture and looking at the object inside
Here is a list of all the objects you’ll place in the plastic eggs (you’ll need 22 eggs)
- Perfume on cotton ball: Mary anointed Jesus’ feet (John 12:3)
- Palm branch/leaf: triumphal entry (Matt. 21:8)
- bread: last supper (Matt. 26:26)
- praying hands: garden of Gethsemane (Mark 14:32)
- 3 dimes: 30 pieces of silver that Jesus was sold for (Matt. 26:14-15)
- rope: they bound Jesus (Matt. 27:2)
- soap: Pilate washed his hands of the matter (Matt. 27:24)
- rooster/feather: Jesus predicted Peter would deny him three times before the cock crowed (Matt. 26:33)
- thorn: crown of thorns (John 19:2)
- scarlet cloth: robe put on Jesus (Matt. 27:28)
- toothpick/twig cross: Jesus carried his own cross, until Simon carried it (John 19:17)
- dice: casting lots for Jesus clothes (John 19:24)
- sponge with vinegar: what Jesus was given to drink (Matt. 27:34)
- spear: spear in side (John 19:33-34)
- cloves/spices: spices that the women were bringing to anoint Jesus on Sunday (Mark 16:1)
- rock: stone placed in front of tomb was rolled away (John 20:1; Matt. 28:2)
- Empty egg: empty tomb (Matt. 28:5-6)
- linen fabric: used to wrap Jesus…left in tomb, Peter went to look in tomb after he heard
- (John 20:6-7)
- nail: nails in hands (John 20:25-29)
- Fish: Jesus ate fish with the disciples on the road to Emmaus (Luke 24:41-43)
- World map: Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20)
- cotton ball: Jesus ascended in the clouds and will return in like manner (Acts 1:11)

Ephesians 3:16 -18 …that He would grant you according to the riches of His glory , to be strengthened with might through His spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height–to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
